BASIS Invites Innovators To Participate NASA Hackathon To Develop Covid-19 Solutions
বেসিস (বাংলাদেশ অ্যাসোসিয়েশন অফ সফটওয়্যার অ্যান্ড ইনফরমেশন সার্ভিসেস) এবং বেসিস স্টুডেন্টস ফোরাম জনগণকে জাতীয় অ্যারোনটিকস অ্যান্ড স্পেস অ্যাডমিনিস্ট্রেশন (নাসা) এর ভার্চুয়াল হ্যাকাথনে অংশ নিতে আমন্ত্রণ জানাচ্ছে।
কোডার, উদ্যোক্তা, বিজ্ঞানী, ডিজাইনার, গল্পকার, নির্মাতা, বিল্ডার, টেকনোলজিস্ট এবং অন্যান্য সকলকে COVID-19 সমাধান এবং সম্পর্কিত চ্যালেঞ্জগুলি বিকাশের জন্য ভার্চুয়াল গ্লোবাল হ্যাকাথনে অংশ নিতে চ্যালেঞ্জের সময় আমন্ত্রিত করা হচ্ছে।

BASIS (Bangladesh Association of Software and Information Services) and BASIS Students Forum are inviting people to take part in a virtual hackathon of the National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA).
Coders, entrepreneurs, scientists, designers, storytellers, makers, builders, technologists, and all others are being invited during the challenge on May 30-31 to participate in a virtual global hackathon to develop COVID-19 solutions and related challenges.
NASA, the European Space Agency and Japan Aerospace Exploration Agency will host this year’s virtual hackathon.
BASIS Director Didarul Alam said they are participating in the NASA apps challenge like the previous years.
Against the backdrop of ongoing Coronavirus pandemic, this year’s contest will focus local response or change and solution, the impact of COVID-19 on the earth system response, learning about the virus and its spread using space-based data and economic opportunity impact and recovery during and following COVID-19, reports The Business Standard.
The interested contestants need to complete their registration by May 15 and can communicate with other contestants and choose group members through the website chatroom until the competition begins.

Space Apps is an international hackathon that takes place in cities around the world. Since 2012, teams have engaged with NASA’s free and open data to address real-world problems on Earth and in space. The Covid-19 Challenge will be the program’s first global virtual hackathon.
